
Kwara State Magistrate courts, sitting in Ilorin, have prosecuted no fewer than fourth three individuals who violated lockdown order of the state government aimed to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic.
CME reports that the violators were majorly motorcyclists who were arrested by the security operatives at different places within the Ilorin metropolis.
In the judgement delivered by magistrates Anafi Folorunsho, Bio Sahihu, A. N Ndakele, who handled the various cases, those who have genuine reasons for disobeying the restriction order were discharged and warned while others were sentenced to community services.
The violators were ordered to either pay fines ranging from ten thousand naira to twenty thousand naira or sweep streets for seven full days.
Among those arraigned are; Jamiu Abdulwahab, Abdulfatai Saliu, Oluwadamisi Gideon, Oni Oluseyi, Okewole Gabriel, Wasiu Abdulquadri, Usufu Yunus, Lukman Oba, Moshood Garuba, Taiye Musa, Suleiman Kadri, Nusliu Zubair.
