One burnt to death in Kwara auto crash

An unidentified person was burnt to death in an auto accident along Kanbi-Oko’Olowo Road in Kwara State on Friday.
Although the exact cause of the accident was not known, it was learnt that two vehicles had a head-on collision.
The accident involved two heavily loaded trucks.
He said the accident might have been caused by excessive speeding or dangerous driving by one of the trucks’ driver.
Hakeem said, “The accident was involved two loaded heavy trucks in a serious head-on collision which claimed one life on the spot. Sadly, before the State Fire Service was able to put out the fire, one of the trucks that carried the food stuffs has been totally affected by fire. Whereas, the other one was fairly affected.
“Although based on the information gathered at the scene, the accident was due to reckless driving and over speeding by one the truck drivers which eventually led to the brutal collision.”
He quoted the Fire Service Director to have advised tanker drivers to be more careful and also limit their speed so as to safe lives.
