
The Kwara State Government has again emphasised on the need for a grass root aggressive campaign on COVID-19 in a bid to curb the ravaging virus Nationwide.
The State Commissioner for Communications, Mrs Adenike Harriet Afolabi-Oshatimehin said this in Ilorin today, during a meeting with members of Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), in her office.
JustEventOnline TV Correspondent observed that Mrs Afolabi-Oshatimehin advocated for the use of our dialet to campaign against other social vices such as rape, domestic violence and other social vises, with the use of the media.
The Commissioner assured the artistes of Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led administration’s support wherever necessary, to achieve the goal.
Responding to the Commissioner’s address, the Kwara State Governor of Performing Musician Association of Nigeria, Alhaji Adisa Omobolaji, aka Adisa Owala said the Association has always been working for the interest of the state, assuring her of further collaborations with government to further publicise it’s laudable achievements ant to totally stamp out social vices in Kwara State and Nigeria at large.
At the meeting, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Communications, Alhaja Rabiat Mopelola Abdulrahman, Directors of Finance and Supply, Yahaya Wood and Public Orientation of the Ministry Alhaji AbdulFatai Adeniyi Dankazeem were in attendance.
