The former Senate President of Nigeria, Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has congratulated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the last Patigi by-election, Salihu Yahaya Muhammad, following his victory on Monday at the National and State Election Petition Tribunal.
Saraki on the micro-bloging site, Twitter, said, “A big congrats to candidate of our party @OfficialPDPNig for the State Assembly By-Election held in Patigi, Kwara State on 14th March 2020. Hon. Salihu Muhammad Yahaya has just been declared winner by a tribunal.
“I also congratulate all our stakeholders for their steadfastness.”
Recall that the Tribunal had sacked the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ahmed Rufai Adam, who was initially declared winner of the Patigi constituency State House of Assembly election, in March 14, 2020.
