Yet again it is an intriguing weekend like always on Matchday 3. Asides the irregularities of VAR in awarding frail goals which made a lot of pundits and game personnel challenge the regularities surrounding the rule of the game. The highlight of the weekend was when Arsenal’s weaponry was dismantled and inefficient against defending champions Liverpool on Monday night, the gunners had to concede to a 3:1 defeat. An early goal from Lacazette for the London side was cancelled out by Sadio Mane just 3 minutes after Laca’s goal, then Andy Robertson has his chance from a monstrous cross from Trent Arnold. Obviously there is no better fullback duo hotter than this fire stars. Diogo Jota came in just in time to grab his first Liverpool goal on his debut. With the capturing of Jota and Thiago, Liverpool have surely done some good business in the window. We hope to see at the end of the season if they can keep the title.
The defeat leaves Arsenal in 5th place ahead of Tottenham, Chelsea, Mancity and Man United although the Manchester teams have a game in hand. While Man united fought tooth and nail for win against Brighton, Manchester city was humiliated and humbled by the cunningly outplay of the foxes; Leceister City. Jamie Vardy was the starboy in the game, he had a hat trick and that puts him 11 goals in 7 matches against Pep’s side. Is it luck or clear masterclass is not what we will debate about today. The win skyrocketed Leicester to the top of the table having won all their first 3 games joint with Liverpool and Everton on same point but leading with goal difference.
