English Premier league update with Abdulazeez Oba
EPL week 4 Highlights with Abdulazeez Oba
It gets more interesting and exciting as match week 4 runs out in the English top flight. Lots of shocking atmosphere and deliberation on who will be flying high at the top of the table where we still have the Toffees flying high and who will be sinking low beneath the rank getting ready for the championship this early.
Strong point was made against Liverpool by Aston Villa when they where romped the champions to a deserved 7:2 loss and also almost the same to the shambolic Man United team, in shambles yet again with a 6:1 dismantling defeat to Tottenham on Sunday. The league featured a record breaking 41 goals scored in a week.
On Saturday, Chelsea kicked off the week four with a four nil demolition of their London counterpart, Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge, the win took some pressure off Frank Lampard’s management team and a good motivation for the team to behold what could be coming on. Followed by a 4:2 domination of Brighton by Everton, another yet sounding warning by the Merseysiders that they really mean business, they now have 4wins in 4games. I’m sure Carlo will be pleased with his boys, most especially new signing Rodriguez and old boy Calvert Lewin who just can’t stop scoring right now. Guardiola’s respect for Coach Marcelo Bielsa was very much intact after his Manchester City side saw a very difficult run that they can not produce a win against the newcomers. Individual errors and defensive inabilities cost the Manchester Blue when Rodrigo slot in a goal towards the ending of the hour to give Leeds United a point.
Leicester City started the Sunday show will a defeat, an appetizer to the disasterclass that was about to unleash with the remainder of the day revealing bigger losses coming from Man United and Liverpool.
Arsenal were heading with direction, they made out a win against Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United, who were the highlight and shocker of last season but have yet to replicate that form in the current season.
With the transfer window coming to a shut, it will be more exciting to see more interesting players move into the league. It brings in more thrills and excitement into the game. The next match is extended by the international break coming up but we hope to return back soon. Cheers
