Frank Lampard names one starter early for desperation clash against Aston Villa

Frank Lampard has confirmed that Callum Hudson-Odoi will play against Aston Villa in the match in just 48 hours time.

To be honest, he would likely have got a shot even if he hadn’t been excellent against Arsenal. The whole team will need to be refreshed, for the sake of fitness as much as anything.

Christian Pulisic wasn’t good enough today, and Timo Werner was so poor he was taken off at half time. Callum Hudson-Odoi will get the chance he’s needed now, and it’s down to him to take it.
