The Hammers will likely approach any transfer for a forward with plenty of caution following Haller’s lack of impact when signed for £45 million in 2019. The striker was meant to play a vital role in a new era for West Ham, but only managed eight goals in 57 appearances.
Now- as per the Athletic- it is En-Nesyri who David Moyes and co are eyeing up to reinforce the firing line.
The interest coming from West Ham for El-Nesyri comes as no surprise when considering the Sevilla man’s form. The Moroccan has scored 13 goals in 26 appearances this season for club and country- including a recent treble against Real Sociedad.
The forward only arrived in Seville from Leganes 12 months ago, signing a five-and-a-half-year deal for £18 million. Despite this, West Ham have not been deterred in their pursuit for the 23-year-old- who is reportedly the Hammers’ top target.
The young forward is certainly impressive and is undoubtedly destined for greater heights, as proven in the Champions League group stages in which he scored four goals in six appearances.
