The Osun State Police Command, on Tuesday, reacted to the incident where a policeman, Corporal Rauf Fawale was beaten to death by three DSS officers at River SideBar.
It was gathered that Fawale received a phone call from a DSS officer on January 14, 2021, and left police State to River Side area in Osogbo. When the three DSS officers sighted him, they pounced on him and struck him with clubs on his head repeatedly. He was beaten to coma.
Fawale eventually died on Sunday at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo as a result of a head injury sustained.
The Spokesperson of Osun Command, Mrs Yemisi Opalola, vowed to get to the root of the matter and deal with officers of DSS involved.
She said the Command has identified name of one of the DSS officers, David Olowoporoku.
