A 46-year Tipper owner who was reported to have been kidnapped on Tuesday morning along Ogundele/Madi road in Ilorin West Local Government, Alhaji Musa Garba Atere has regained his freedom From the hands of his adubtors on Wednesday.
In this interview with the RealNews, the tipper owner speaks on how God’s miracle sent him free from the hands of Kidnappers.
HOW DID IT HAPPENED?
Well, me, my wife and my daughter were heading to Generate Hospital for medical treatment of sick daughter someone in the early hours of Tuesday when some gangs of Fulani Kidnappers cross our way and stopped our car at gun point.
I taught they were members of vigilantees patroning the area but ongetting to them, then I realised that we are already in hands of Kidnappers.
“Immidiately stopped, one of them opened the door beside me while stand at alert pointed guns at me.
WHAT ARE THEY LOOKING FOR?
Then I was ordered to get down leaving my wife and daughter behinde in the car, immidiately they tied my hands up with a thick cow rope, then I was dragged through bush.
We about to cross over Oko-olowo express way, I was ordered to stop and one of them moved fast to look around if anyone was around, he came back to tell others that the road was saved to cross.
Then we crossed and moving toward Moro bridge, intact we walked through Moro river until we got a point they fill hungry, two of them were sent for food at Oko-Olowo left others four to keep vigilant over me.
WERE YOU BEEN SERVED WITH FOOD?
Yes,each time they brought food and water to drink and eat I always rejected to eat but I took water just for my survival because I have it my mind that I could be kill at anytime because they always told me that they are not playing with me and if I make any move to escape am dead already.
Through out my sojourn in their captivity I didn’t eat but I only drunk water, just few minutes later they left others three out four onguard slept off and the other one sitting close busy with my phone.
WHAT OTHERS THEY DID TO YOU?
They asked me to phone my families to bring ₦30million as ransom before I could be released and if the payment is not made on time, then they will take to their master and I got to their master that is the end, I begged them for ₦5million and accepted.
IS THERE A RESPONSE TO YOUR CALLS?
I don’t know because I was not with the phone, is already in their possession and my people called me they are the picking it and will placed on my ear to answer some the calls were not pick but I told my families that my life was in danger they should help me raise at least ₦1million so I can get freedom.
DO THEY RAISED THE MONEY?
May be they are on the process when God’s miracle came in.
WHAT WAS THE MIRACLE?
The miracle of God came when it was needed, I was tied down in an uncompleted building in a bush and it was a time for dinner and two of them were sent to buy food at Oko-olowo.
Before they left, they warned not to make any move by trying to escape, they shown me some live bullets with AK-47 and they mean to waste my life provided that I cooperate with their instructions.
But I want to play some funny things, it just cost them two or three seconds to waste me,
Not less than two minutes those sent for left, they all slept off and I heard them snoring in deep sleep, it was then I prepared my mind with prayer to move, then suddenly I discovered that the rope tied on my legs was loosed, then I stood up for my return journey back home.
HOW DID YOU REMOVE THE ROPE TIED AT YOUR HANDS?
“The rope tied on my hands was not easy to remove due to it thickness but with help of God it was gradually later removed, the movement was easy, I was jugged through thick forest before I got to a village call Ga’a Olobi in the midnight.
DID THEY COLLECT ANY RANSOM FROM YOU OR ANY OF YOUR FAMILY?
No random was paid, they just took away the one hundred and twenty thousand that was meant to pay the hospital bill of daughter, my phone and my clothe, I came home nicked.
I appreciated all for their concerned over my predicament particularly my families, well-wishers, relatives, business partners, friends and security agencies on their effort to get him free from the hands of Kidnappers.
