Earlier today, the Kwara State Roads Maintenance Agency, KWARMA, led by its Chairman, Hon. Bolakale Oloje, paid a courtesy/familiarization visit to the newly appointed Kwara State Chief Maintenance Engineer of the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency, FERMA, Engr. Abdulakeem Jato in his office.

The courtesy call was premised on synergy creation between the two Roads Maintenance Agencies of the Federal and the State Government.

In his address, the KWARMA Chair, Oloje, congratulated the FERMA Chief, as he sought for mutual collaboration between the two agencies.

“We, the Kwara State Roads Maintenance Agency seize this medium to formally congratulate you on your recent appointment. We have come to formally synergize with you on delivering of motorable roads to the good people of Kwara State,” Oloje said.


“We are optimistic that working together with you will be of benefit to Kwarans, whose mandate we have to deliver good roads. We are equally assuring you of our agency’s cooperation where necessary,” he added.

Engr. Abdulakeem Jato in his remark appreciated the giant effort of the KWARMA, says he observed with glad heart the agency has been dissipating on quality control which is geared towards providing motorable roads to the state.

Oloje, however, listed some of the federal government roads and spots in Kwara State that are demanding for an urgent intervention, these roads include; Surulere, Oloje Bridge among others.

The meeting had in attendance the KWARMA General Manager, General Secretary and the Chief Financial Accountant (CFA) respectively.
