Minister of State Transport, Senator Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki, has been commended for the facilitation of a centre for the Nigeria Institute of Transport Technology (NITT) at Lasoju in Asa local government area of Kwara State.
The commendation was made by one of the community elders, Alhaji Abdulraheem Lasoju while speaking with RealNews reporter after the foundation laying ceremony of the centre at Lasoju community.
He said the minister is always trying to do her best to support Buhari-led administration to improve on all sectors of the economy in Nigeria particularly Kwara through construction quality roads, rail, air and water transportation
He observed that NITT was originally conceived as an apex management development institute for transport and logistics in Nigeria and the West African Sub-region expanded to serve as a Multi-modern Institute covering rail, road, water, air, and pipeline.
A resident in the community, Alhaji Amosa Ibrahim said the citing of the NITT complex in Kwara was orchestrated by the Ministry of Transportation, Senator Gbemisola Saraki which is another trivial development towards making Kwara state a revamped centre of development.
He pointed out that Lasoju community have expressed their joy with sighting centre at the community provide more privilege for entire kwarans, adding that before long such benefit was never come to Asa LGA.
He maintained that the contribution of Senator Gbemisola Saraki’s quota towards the development of Kwara state and Nigeria as a whole over emphasized, noting that the the construction of NITT complex would soon be completed.
