Conversing with reporters at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Damaturu, the state capital on Tuesday, the woman whose name is withheld said no man has slept with her in the last 40 years.
Naija News learnt that the old aged woman was violently raped inside her home in Gadaka, Fika local government area of the state by one Mohammed Faruk. Narrating her ordeal, the rape victim said the suspect invaded her home in February 2021 and violently raped her.
She further alleged that Faruk beat her up and broke two of her teeth before he had his way with her.
On his part, while confirming the incident to newsmen, the spokesperson of the state police command, Dungus Abdulkarim, said the suspect has since confessed to the crime and has been arraigned before a magistrate court where he was ordered to be remanded in police custody.
