Former governor of Oyo State, Otunba Christopher Adebayo Alao Akala is dead.
He was said to have died in the early hours of this morning.
Immediately the news of his death was announced, the whole of Ibadan and Oyo State was thrown into mourning as the news of his death has become a major subject of discussion within the government secretariat, Agodi, Ibadan this morning.
Akala was the governor of Oyo State between 2007 to 2011. He was also a former chairman of Ogbomoso South Local Government Area between 1999 and 2002. He served as Deputy Governor to Former Governor Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja between 2003 and May, 200.
